Just one month ago, Candy arrived in Canada from Chile—rescued from a life of neglect on a remote island in Chiloé, where she was used to breed litter after litter and then abandoned to survive alone. She finally had hope… a family, a home, and the promise of love.

But that dream has been shattered. Candy’s adoptive mom has become critically ill and is now in the hospital. Her devastated family was forced to return Candy to us, and once again, she finds herself waiting… confused, heartbroken, and longing for love.

Candy is around 5 years old, 8.5 kilos, calm, gentle, and kind. She gets along with dogs, cats, children—everyone. But more than anything, she wants someone to love her.

She is pure affection, quiet gratitude, and endless loyalty. Her little eyes now search for a new family to help heal her broken heart.
